How to reach the start. There are three possibilities to reach the start of the half marathon at Compatsch:

  • By cable car from Seis am Schlern to the Seiser Alm (free parking places). Every participant gets a free roundtrip ticket for the Cable Car Seiser Alm.
    You can get your ticket directly at the valley station of the cable car. The Seiser Alm cable car will be in operation on Sunday, 02.07.2023 already from 07:00a.m. All other guests and spectators will receive a reduced ticket price for the Seiser Alm cable car.

  • By bus: The Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi Express (bus route 10) starts at 8.05 a.m. in Seis am Schlern, goes to Kastelruth and then directly to the Seiser Alm (arrival time: 8.40 a.m.). The round-trip ticket costs 26.50 Euro a person and you can purchase them directly on the bus.

  • By your own car to the Seiser Alm. The street leading to the Seiser Alm Nature Protection Reserve is blocked for daily traffic from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. You can go up before 9 a.m. as far as the parking place at Compatsch. The parking fee is 26.50 Euro a day. You can return any time alike. Attention: There is available only a limited number of parking places on the event day.
For a environmentally friendly travel by bus or cable car!

Bag deposit:
We offer the possibility to deposit your bags until the end of the race in the race office. Please consider that we only accept complete and fully closed bags. The organizer doesn’t assume any responsibility for damage to property.

Bib assignment:
The bib assignment will take place on Saturday, 6 July 2024 from 10.00am to 6.00pm at the parking deck of the cable car in Seis am Schlern or on Sunday, 7 July 2024 from 7.00am to 8.30am in the race office directly next to the start. There you also get the chip for the chronometry and you receive your starter kit a.

On race day, Sunday 07.07.2024 no more registrations will be accepted!

Starting times:
The official start time of the Seiser Alm Half Marathon is at 9.00 am.

Timing:
The timing and elaboration of the rankings will be carried out with a chip which is fixed on the back side of the bib. The following times will be taken for each athlete: the official time (between the official start to the passage under the finish line), the real time (from the passage under the starting line to the passage under the finish line) and the passing of km 18 mark.

The top 10 men and top 10 women of the overall ranking will be ranked in any case in order of arrival on the finish line. Every participant gets his own real time by SMS. You have to indicate your mobile phone number in the registration form to obtain this service!

Running track: Start on 1800m - 601m of altitude difference – highest point of the half marathon 2050m. The running track was official measured from the Italian Federation of Competitive Athletics (FIDAL) with 21,097 km. The first 3 km are on asphalt road, the rest of the half marathon is on gravel and forest roads. In conformity with IAAF/FIDAL regulations, refreshment stations are located at every 5 kilometers along the route. All the refreshment stations will be supplied with water, fruit and biscuits. Every single kilometer is indicated on a chard. There is a control point at every crossroad.

Results, classification and certification:

At the end of the race every participant receive a finisher medal. The official results are published in the finish zone and on our website. Giving your start number, you can download your certification to PDF from our homepage after the race.
