Since June 2009 the Dolomites, the "Pale Mountains", are part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. Their unique beauty and their particular form helped them to become part of the monuments that are entitled Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. Nine territories, among them there is also the
Sciliar-Catinaccio/Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park , are listed in it.
